Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Woman Carpenter with 10+ years of experience to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will bring expert craftsmanship to a variety of projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds. Your expertise in reading blueprints, working with diverse materials, and utilizing a wide range of tools will be essential in delivering high-quality results on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, roofing systems, siding, and cabinetry using hand tools and power tools
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and tile laying to meet project specifications
- Install drywall, flooring, cabinetry, siding, roofing components, and perform finishing tasks such as caulking and painting
- Assist with plumbing and electrical installations as needed to ensure integrated building systems
- Conduct heavy lifting safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment around job sites
- Follow construction estimating procedures for material quantities and project timelines while adhering to safety standards

Requirements

- 10+ years of experience
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Proven construction experience with a robust background in carpentry and woodworking techniques




- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery (Computer Numerical Control), and other construction equipment
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, and painting
- Experience with construction estimating processes for materials and labor costs
- Handyman experience or versatility across multiple trades is highly desirable
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid relevant certifications or licenses are preferred but not mandatory
