We are currently seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician 309A to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while adhering to all safety regulations. Candidate must live in City or Toronto or within 45min drive to Toronto.

Applicants selected for employment must posses the following mandatory, valid training certificates:

- Working at Heights (from a Ministry of Labour approved Training Provider)
- Elevated Work Platform
- Worker Health & Safety Awareness
- WHMIS
- Must be a member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario (formerly OCOT).

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Positive knowledge of various test equipment.

Requirements:

- Must be licenced Electrician
- Valid driver’s license.
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
- Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical systems.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers,



voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
- Excellent English written and verbal skills
- Clean and tidy appearance

Certifications:

- Registered Training Agreement, Provisional Certificate of Qualification, or Certificate of Qualification.
- Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program.
- Trade certification for construction electricians is compulsory in Ontario.

Skills:

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Proficient in estimating time of electrical repairs and installations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Canadian Electrical Code (ECE).
- Proficiency in using power tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
