Fowler Metal Industries Ltd. specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding and finishing. Established in 1972 we have been serving the sheet metal fabrication industry for over 50 years.

We are currently looking for engineering support to assist in fixture design for production use, drawing revisions and updates and tasks related to supporting customer needs. This is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

- Assist with estimating projects by reviewing drawings and RFQ’s for manufacturability and costs
- Support engineering department by maintaining accuracy and detailing of drawings
- Support the build, integration and testing of equipment in the workplace
- Drawing of production fixtures
- Updating internal drawings from customer provided details

Qualifications:
- Understanding of how design impact product costing
- Proven understanding that designs need to be efficient and accurate




- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well as a team
- Working experience in Solidworks
- Understanding of revision control
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Relevant mechanical design or engineering certificate or diploma
