Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to the animals in our facility while ensuring a clean and protected environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare, strong customer service skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs and cats.

- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.

- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management.

- Assist with customer service duties, including greeting clients and answering questions about services offered.

- Help with the intake and discharge process of animals, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

- Support team members in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations within the kennel.





- Answering phones, and taking payments.

Requirements

- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a genuine love for animals is essential.

- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and provide excellent service.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting, as some tasks may require moving large bags of food or handling larger animals.

- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
