Nara Katsu is looking for a full-time Kitchen Supervisor to join our team.

We are a busy restaurant located on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, specializing in Japanese katsu and Korean comfort food.

We are looking for someone with solid kitchen experience who can work hands-on with the team while helping lead daily kitchen operations, especially during busy dinner service.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support the kitchen team during peak service hours
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion standards
- Monitor kitchen inventory and stock levels
- Ensure prep is completed and organized before service
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- Train and support new kitchen staff
- Help coordinate staff stations and breaks during service
- Communicate kitchen issues, staffing concerns, and inventory needs to the owners
- Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies




- Work on the line as needed during service

Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
- Experience with Korean or Japanese cuisine is an asset
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Kitchen Supervisor will work directly with the kitchen team while helping maintain smooth service, food quality, and overall kitchen standards.

Pay: $15.24-$27.80 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
