Position Available

Nu Edge Construction Ltd. is currently hiring two (2) Labourers to join our team and work at the Suncor Edmonton Refinery.

Successful candidates will be employees of Nu Edge Construction Ltd. and will be assigned to support ongoing work at the Suncor Refinery.

This position is ideal for dependable, safety-conscious individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, starting early in the morning, and assisting with a variety of general site duties.

- Hours: Approximately 8–9 hour days, depending on site requirements
- Schedule: On-call and based on operational/site needs

Candidates must be local to the Edmonton area.



Preference will be given to candidates located in or near Sherwood Park due to the early morning starts and to help minimize commute time.

What You Do:

As a Labourer supporting operations at the refinery, your duties may vary depending on weather conditions and site requirements. Responsibilities may include:

- Garbage and waste collection throughout designated areas of the refinery
- Snow removal and general winter maintenance
- Shovelling snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and work areas
- Keeping designated areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- General site cleanup and housekeeping
- Assisting crews with general labour duties as required
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Responding to on-call work requirements when needed
- Following all Nu Edge and Suncor site policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Complying with applicable Health and Safety Codes and legislation
- Properly using all required PPE and safety equipment
- Working safely around vehicles, equipment, and refinery operations

What Background and Skills Qualify You:
- CSTS – Required
- WHMIS – Required
- Successful completion of a pre-access drug screening is required
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Ability to successfully complete all required site onboarding and orientations
- Ability to work early mornings and be available for on-call shifts
- Physically capable of performing labour-intensive work
- Comfortable working outdoors during Alberta winter conditions

- You have a solid work ethic and positive attitude
- You are safety-focused when it comes to yourself, your coworkers, and equipment
- You are comfortable performing physically demanding work
- You are willing to shovel snow, collect garbage, perform cleanup, and help wherever needed
- You are comfortable working in and around an active industrial/refinery setting
- You can follow instructions and site procedures
- You work well as part of a team
- You are punctual and able to accommodate early morning starts

Due to the nature of this position, reliability and availability are extremely important. Work may be dependent on site requirements, weather conditions, snow events, and other operational needs.
