The Role: Landscape Construction Labourer

Division: Park Commercial Landscapes

While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. As part of Park Commercial Landscapes , you will be a primary architect of project execution, performing essential hands-on labor to build high-quality commercial and residential landscapes across Alberta. Working alongside our experienced site leaders, you will bring project designs to life with precision, speed, and an uncompromising commitment to safety.

While this position is anchored within Park Commercial Landscapes , you are joining the broader Park Landscape Group network.

Across Western

Canada, our team operates four specialized brands ( Park Commercial Landscapes , Jenron Creative Landscapes by Park , Altus Pools by Park , and Park Supplies ).



That means you gain exposure to diverse scopes—from civil sitework and commercial builds to boutique residential hardscaping and custom pool installations—giving you cross-training opportunities, variety, and year-round career stability across our Alberta operations.

Your Daily Impact

Construction Installation: Assist in the hands-on building of patios, retaining walls, site amenities, and water features, while supporting excavation and grading activities to ensure a solid foundation.

Softscape Execution: Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials, and install sod or seed to transform construction sites into lush, finished environments that deliver instant curb appeal.

Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely utilize hand tools and small power equipment (such as plate compactors, cut-off saws, and tillers) to support productive site progress.

Site Stewardship: Manage material staging, site setup, and end-of-day cleanup to maintain a professional, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

Safety Advocacy: Live our core value of Working Safe & Working Smart by participating in daily tailgate meetings and hazard assessments, ensuring everyone is protected by proper PPE and safe work practices.

Winter Versatility: Transition to our snow and ice management team from November through April, providing critical clearing services to keep commercial properties safe during Alberta winters.

The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)

To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:

Knowledge: Basic understanding of safe work practices on active construction sites; strong willingness to learn technical landscape installation methods, hardscaping, and site grading techniques.

Skills:



Ability to safely operate hand tools and small construction equipment; strong physical coordination for repetitive tasks like digging, lifting, and placing materials.

Abilities: High level of physical stamina and resilience; ability to perform demanding manual labor outdoors in changing seasonal weather; valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (asset).
