Lead Greenhouse Order Picker

- - - West Coast Floral is looking for a dependable and organized Lead Greenhouse Order Picker to join our team. This is a hands-on position responsible for leading a small team in picking plant products accurately and efficiently from our greenhouses for customer orders.

The successful candidate will help coordinate daily picking priorities; ensure products are ready for the warehouse packing team on time and confirm that all selected plants meet our internal quality standards. This position is ideal for someone who communicates well, enjoys working with a small team, and can keep work moving in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

- Lead and work alongside a small order-picking team of approximately three to four employees
- Pick plants and other greenhouse products accurately and efficiently for customer orders
- Review daily orders and help organize picking priorities and team assignments
- Ensure products are picked and delivered to the packing area within required timelines
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with the warehouse packing team regarding order status, priorities, timing, shortages and delays
- Inspect products during the picking process to ensure they meet internal quality standards
- Identify and report product shortages, quality concerns, order discrepancies, or other issues
- Provide clear direction and support to team members throughout the shift
- Monitor picking progress and adjust priorities when order requirements or shipping schedules change
- Ensure products are handled carefully to minimize damage and maintain quality
- Maintain accurate product counts and order information
- Keep greenhouse aisles, picking areas, carts,



and workspaces clean and organized
- Promote a positive, respectful and productive team environment
- Follow and help reinforce all workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist with other greenhouse or warehouse duties when required

Qualifications

- Previous experience in greenhouse operations, order picking, warehousing, horticulture, or a similar environment is an asset
- Previous team-lead or leadership experience is an asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Able to lead a small team while also performing hands-on work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
- Able to recognize quality issues and follow established product standards
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Dependable, punctual and able to follow through on responsibilities
- Able to work effectively in a bust setting with changing priorities and deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to support other team members and departments
- Basic plant knowledge is an asset but is not required

Starting wage $20- $25 per hour depending on experience
