Line Cook – Full-Time / Part-Time

Leuty’s on Queen is looking for reliable, motivated Line Cooks to join our opening kitchen team.

We are building a team of cooks who are comfortable with service, prep, and running multiple stations. Team members will help with daily preparation and support the kitchen wherever needed.

We are looking for people who are organized, clean, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Set up and maintain your station for service
- Prepare menu items according to recipes and portion standards
- Complete daily prep accurately and efficiently
- Work across multiple stations as trained
- Communicate clearly with other cooks and kitchen leadership
- Maintain proper food handling, labelling, FIFO, and sanitation standards
- Keep your station clean and organized throughout the shift
- Monitor mise en place and communicate low stock before running out
- Assist other stations during busy service when required
- Follow allergy and food-safety procedures
- Participate in opening and closing duties
- Help maintain a positive and respectful kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Solid basic knife and prep skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment




- Able to follow standardized recipes and portioning
- Willing to learn and work multiple stations
- Good organization and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable with both prep and service
- Food Handler Certification is an asset

Experience on grill, flat top, sauté, fryer, or garde manger is an asset. Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Full-time cooks will generally average approximately 30–40 hours per week
- Part-time positions available for additional evening and weekend coverage
- Gratuities are provided in addition to the hourly wage
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is strongly preferred
- Morning, evening, and closing shifts available

We are looking for cooks who want to be part of a strong opening team, learn multiple stations, and grow within the kitchen. Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
