A compassionate, experienced live-in carer is sought to support a couple in a peaceful rural setting in Cornwall. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who values personalised, one-to-one support within a warm family environment.

This role involves providing companionship and emotional support while assisting individuals with their daily routines in a way that encourages independence and maintains dignity.

Responsibilities may include supporting personal care needs where required, managing medication, preparing simple and nutritious meals, and carrying out light housekeeping and domestic tasks. The role also includes accompanying individuals to appointments and social outings where appropriate, while working closely with family members to promote wellbeing, independence, and an overall high quality of life.

About You

You will have experience caring for older people, with a robust understanding of and practical experience in supporting individuals living with dementia. You will be kind, patient, reliable and reassuring in your approach, with the ability to build trusted and respectful relationships. A confident communicator, you will be comfortable working independently, using your initiative to respond to changing needs while maintaining a high standard of care.





As this role is based in a rural location, you will be comfortable with country living and, as the household includes animals, you will also be animal friendly.

Essential Requirements

You will have previous care experience, ideally gained within a live-in care environment, and be committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, or a willingness to obtain one prior to employment. You will be able to provide excellent references, have the legal right to work in the UK, and hold a full UK driving licence to support travel and accompany the individual to appointments and activities as needed.
