Job Overview The Logging Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a log loader to load logging trucks at active work sites. The operator will work closely with truck drivers and other forestry personnel to ensure loads are built safely, securely, and within legal weight requirements.

Typical duties include operating and inspecting the loader, loading and decking logs, maintaining an organized and safe loading area, communicating with drivers and crew members, completing daily equipment inspections, reporting mechanical or safety concerns, and following all company and site safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating a logging loader, a strong understanding of safe loading practices, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently in outdoor and remote conditions.

Responsibilities

- Operate loaders safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Coordinate with team members to execute loading and unloading procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment




- Maintain accurate operation in loading trucks and report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly

Requirements

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required depending on job site needs
- Robust understanding of harvest and other various worksites safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Prior construction experience demonstrating familiarity with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 60.0 per week
