Position Overview

Vancouver Honda is currently seeking a Lube Technician to join our Service Department. Reporting to the Service Manager and Shop Foreman, the Lube Technician plays an important role in delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance services and supporting the overall efficiency of the service team.

The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance procedures, conduct vehicle inspections, and assist technicians with a variety of automotive service tasks. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about the automotive industry, takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, and is looking to develop a long-term career in automotive service.

The expected pay for this position is $23.59 per hour.





Primary Duties And Responsibilities

- Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
- Inspect, top up, and replace automotive fluids including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
- Check, adjust, and maintain proper tire pressure.
- Perform tire rotations, mounting, balancing, and seasonal tire changeovers.
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
- Replace vehicle batteries, test charging systems, and ensure proper installation.
- Replace windshield wiper blades and inspect related components.
- Replace and test exterior lighting components, including headlights, taillights, and signal lamps.
- Assist with the removal and installation of exhaust system components as required.
- Support minor interior and exterior trim repairs and replacements.
- Assist in identifying and addressing common vehicle concerns such as water leaks and basic maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and communicate inspection results to Service Advisors and senior technicians.
- Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to dealership and manufacturer procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work setting.




- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Required

- Automotive service experience, apprenticeship experience, or automotive technical training preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance procedures, and repair practices.
- Experience operating tire mounting, balancing, and fluid service equipment is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and working in varying shop conditions.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
