About The Role

We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join the Qualcomm AI Processor Solutions team. This role is pivotal in advancing the development of next-generation AI applications tailored for Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work at the forefront of AI research and deployment, focusing on creating creative algorithms and applications that enhance the capabilities of mobile, edge, XR, and IoT devices.

Your contributions will directly influence the performance, efficiency, and real-world applicability of AI solutions integrated into Qualcomm's flagship products.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of machine learning, computer vision, multimodal AI, and agentic AI systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and researchers, to optimize AI models for deployment on Snapdragon platforms. Qualifications The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine learning algorithms, computer vision, multimodal AI, or related fields. Proficiency with modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for innovation and building efficient AI solutions for edge devices, coupled with strong software development skills in Python and/or C++.

Additionally, problem-solving abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams are vital. Familiarity with embedded development, operating systems concepts, and fundamental software development principles is also required to excel in this role.

Responsibilities

- Stay current with the latest advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and foundation models to inform ongoing research and development efforts.
- Research, develop, and optimize AI algorithms for deployment on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms, ensuring they meet performance and efficiency standards.
- Design and build innovative reference applications that showcase Snapdragon AI capabilities across various devices, including mobile, edge, XR, and IoT platforms.




- Evaluate hardware and software trade-offs to achieve an optimal balance between performance, power consumption, and user experience.
- Support the implementation, testing, and commercialization of AI algorithms and applications on Snapdragon devices, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
