Tru Earth is looking for a Machine Operator to join our Ontario team!

The Machine Operator will be accountable for setting up, maintaining, and operating processing machinery. They will ensure the machinery runs smoothly, works at capacity without issues, and is appropriately maintained on schedule. This person will report directly into the Operations Manager. The Machine Operator’s duties and tasks dictate the safety and efficiency of everyone around them, they must remain focused and diligent in performing their task correctly and with care.

Work Schedule

- This role will rotate between day and afternoon shifts. The company will be implementing the third shift soon, then this role will be rotating between day, afternoon and night every two weeks.

Main Job Tasks, & Duties





- Set up processing machine (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
- Feed raw material semi-automated Feeders.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Product Inspection to establish any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain activity logs.
- Conduct prescribed Preventative maintenance.
- Maintain the equipment so it operates safely.
- Reporting Safety Hazards within the work environment.

Education and Experience

- Proven Experience as a Processing Machine Operator.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed friction feeders.
- High school Diploma or equivalent; technical degree an asset.

- Passionate about the setting and sustainable living.
- Full grasp of Production Procedures.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., Constant use of protective gear).
- Critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong Teamwork and Communication skills.
- Physical Stamina and strength – ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
