Economy Paving is looking for an experienced Main Line Excavator Operator to join our underground crew. We’re looking for a reliable operator with experience working around underground utilities and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

- Operate an excavator for main line underground utility installations, including water, sanitary and storm sewer.

- Excavate trenches accurately to required line and grade.

- Work closely with pipe layers, labourers and ground crews.

- Safely work around existing utilities and follow trench protection procedures.

- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.

- Keep a safe, organized and productive work area.

Qualifications

- Previous main line excavator experience on underground utility projects.





- Strong understanding of trenching, shoring and protected excavation practices.

- Ability to read grade stakes and work with laser or GPS guidance systems.

- Valuable communication skills and the ability to work as part of a crew.

- Reliable transportation and availability to work long hours.

- Ground disturbance certificate
