At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or food production environment.
Have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
Have experience working with electrical systems, including diagnosing and repairing faults.
Have worked with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a maintenance capacity.
Familiar with reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Have experience performing preventative maintenance (PM) on production equipment.
Have used CMMS or maintenance software to complete work orders and maintenance records.
Have experience with welding and basic fabrication.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
Start time Mon-Fri at 12pm onwards. MUST BE AVAILABLE to work other shifts, weekends, and overtime as required based on operational needs.

Maintenance Technician (Perm, FT)
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure. This role helps ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment and facilities by identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and general maintenance issues.
The Maintenance Technician works independently and collaboratively with operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime and support production objectives while maintaining compliance with safety,
food safety, and quality standards.
This position may require overtime, on-call support, and shift work based on operational requirements.

- Pay Rate: $35ph + $1ph afternoon shift premium (after 90 days-probation period, will raise to $36ph)

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Install, assemble, modify, and maintain production equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, tools, and building systems to identify maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation.
• Perform welding, fabrication, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance-related tasks as required.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital projects.
• Ensure maintenance tools, spare parts, and work areas remain organized and in positive condition.
• Follow all health and safety, food safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Report equipment concerns, safety hazards, and maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Support production operations and collaborate with other departments to achieve operational goals.
• Participate in emergency repairs and after-hours maintenance support when required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or food production environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
- Basic welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing maintenance activities including standing, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and food production environment.

- Overtime, weekend work, and on-call support may be required based on operational needs.
- May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, or outdoors depending on maintenance activities.
