PetroChina Canada is recruiting for a Manager, Engineering Services to join theEngineering & Construction Team in Calgary.

Reportingto the Director, Engineering & Construction, the Manager, EngineeringServiceswill lead PetroChina Canada’s(PCC) Surface Engineering function. Leading a team of employees andcontractors, the Manager, Engineering Services is accountable for engineering technical integrity and assurance,Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), and facilityinspection and integrity management across PCC’s operated assets.

This role provides supportto the MacKay River Commercial Project (MRCP), Duvernay Shale Gas operations,and future PCC-operated assets throughout the facility lifecycle, from conceptdevelopment and design through construction, commissioning, operations support,modification, optimization, integrity management and decommissioning.

Accountabilities:

The accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Engineering Leadership &Technical; Authority:
- Lead the multidisciplinarySurface Engineering team, ensuring priorities are set based on risk,operational requirements, and business objectives
- Serve as the senior technicalauthority for surface facilities
- Provide technical assurancethroughout project lifecycles, including concept selection, FEED, detaileddesign, construction readiness, and start-up
- Ensure compliance withregulatory requirements, industry codes, standards, and professionalengineering obligations
- Process SafetyManagement (PSM):




- Own andgovern the company's Process Safety Management program
- EstablishPSM policies, standards, performance expectations, and continuous improvementinitiatives
- Leadprocess safety incident investigations and corrective action development
- OverseePSM audits, assurance activities, and performance reporting
- Asset Integrity & Inspection:
- Lead Inspection and AssetIntegrity programs
- Own Pressure EquipmentIntegrity Management programs, including:
- Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Fitness-for-Service(FFS) assessments, integrity evaluations, repair and replacement strategies
- Establish safe operatingenvelopes and facility operating limits
- Operations Support& Optimization:
- Supportcommissioning, start-up, operations, facility modifications, turnarounds, anddecommissioning activities
- Identifyoptimization, debottlenecking, reliability, and efficiency opportunities
- Leadtechnical studies related to capacity, feasibility, integrity, and emergingtechnologies
- Regulatory &External; Stakeholder Management:
- Ensurecompliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g.AER, ABSA, API, NFPA, APEGA, among others)
- Act as asenior technical representative with regulators and external organizations
- Strategic Planning & FinancialManagement:
- Participate in annual andlong-range asset planning, including developing engineering-driven capitalplans and sustaining capital requirements
- Manage engineering departmentbudgets, forecasts, and OPEX
- Leadership & Reporting:
- Provide leadership, coaching,and direction to employees and contractors
- Deliver engineering, integrity,and process safety performance reporting to executive and operationalleadership teams
- Support EPC/EPCM contractorsand ensure technical quality and execution excellence

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognizeduniversity




- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in goodstanding with APEGA
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive engineeringexperience in the oil and gas or broader energy sector
- Extensive experience leading multidisciplinaryengineering teams
- Strong background in surface facilities engineeringwithin an operating asset setting
- Experience managing engineering consultants, contractors,technical specialists, external service providers
- Strong knowledge of Alberta regulatory requirements and industry codes and standards
- Technical Expertise in:
- Surface facility design, operation, and optimization
- Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Technical assurance and governance.
- Asset integrity and reliability management
- Regulatory compliance and engineering standards
- Ability to provide senior technical leadership andmentorship
- Demonstrated sound engineering judgment
- Strong risk-based decision-making skills
- SAGD/heavy-oil and/ornatural-gas-processing experience an asset
- Experience supporting bothoperating assets and capital projects
- Experience with ABSA-regulatedpressure equipment and asset-integrity programs
- Experience with PSM, HAZOP/PHA,LOPA, MOC and PSSR
- Experience with RBI,fitness-for-service and inspection/integrity-management programs
- Experience supporting majorturnarounds, commissioning and facility start-up
