At Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (LFCDG), we help people with disabilities live more independent lives by providing them with a Dog Guide at no cost. We are proud to be the only school in Canada offering seven distinct Dog Guide programs. Our operations span two locations: Oakville, ON, and Breslau, ON.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, community-focused leader to join our Resource Development team. The Peer-to-Peer Fundraising & Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of LFCDG fundraising events and community-driven peer-to-peer (P2P) campaigns. This role blends strategic leadership with a hands-on presence, bringing people together in support of a meaningful cause, creating engaging experiences that inspire participation, strengthen community connections, and generate critical funds to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement growth strategies based on fundraising and participation trends to increase revenue, engagement, and event performance across Canada.
- Develop and manage annual operational plans, revenue forecasts, and expense budgets, monitoring performance against fundraising and financial objectives.
- Accountable for achieving annual fundraising revenue targets across walk programs, third-party events, sponsorships, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for 200+ walk organizers across Canada, providing support through email, phone, web conferencing, and online resources.
- Recruit, train, engage, and recognize volunteer leaders and committees to support event success and strengthen community engagement.
- Provide exceptional support and stewardship to participants, donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Develop, secure, and steward corporate sponsorships and community partnerships to increase revenue, engagement, and brand awareness.




- Collaborate with the Director, Communications to develop and execute marketing, media, and public relations strategies.
- Work closely with the Communications team to create promotional materials and maintain the walk and events website.
- Create and deliver presentations to local and national audiences to promote participation and support fundraising efforts.
- Oversee inventory management, production, and distribution of event materials nationwide.
- Lead, coach, and support the Events Coordinator through goal setting, performance management, and professional development.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new event and partnership opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including fundraising revenue, participant engagement, sponsorship growth, and event ROI, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Assist third-party fundraisers nationwide in planning and executing events that support Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate donation processing, donor record management, tax receipting, and inquiry resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

- Post-secondary education in Event Management, Fundraising, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive event management and fundraising experience, preferably within the not-for-profit sector, with a demonstrated track record of successful events and campaigns.
- Demonstrated success achieving fundraising revenue targets and managing revenue-generating events.
- Experience developing, securing,



and stewarding corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
- Experience leading volunteers, committees, or community-based fundraising initiatives.
- Knowledge of peer-to-peer fundraising models and donor stewardship best practices.
- Strategic and operational planning experience.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Robust negotiation, relationship-building, and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience developing and managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Experience using CRM and fundraising databases, with Salesforce experience considered an asset.
- Leadership and people management experience, including coaching and developing staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

Position Details

- Location: Oakville, ON/ Hybrid
- Salary: $65,000- $80,000
- Contract: Full Time, 1- year contract with the possibility for extension
