Manager, Deal Advisory / Transaction Services
KPMG is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Deal Advisory Manager to join our team. The role has primary responsibility for managing a portfolio of corporate finance, valuation, and transaction services clients.
Key job functions and responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the development and execution of deal advisory engagements, which may involve financial modeling, valuation analyses, detailed financial and commercial due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, data & analytics, business case development, and preparation of reports, information memoranda, and other documentation for external consumption.
- Working across various sectors including financial services, infrastructure, public sector, and tourism and hospitality.
- Serving as project manager for the duration of engagements, acting as key contact for the client, attending client meetings, managing preparation of high-quality deliverables, and coordinating the work of the engagement team.
- Assisting in new business development including the preparation and presentation of proposals.
- Liaising and working with our global KPMG member firm network.
- Managing and facilitating ongoing administration of the department, while ensuring adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting to clients, partners, and the management team on progress of engagements and other initiatives.
- Managing, coaching, and developing people.
- Development of thought leadership and speaking in public forums.
- The Deal Advisory Manager is expected to have the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business,
or economics from a recognized university and a minimum of four years’ relevant work experience are required.
- An advanced degree in finance or business and/or designation such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Accredited Senior Appraiser, or Chartered Business Valuator is preferred.
- 3+ years’ relevant work experience in an advisory role at an accounting or consulting firm.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data, assess risks, and recommend actionable strategies.
- Business valuation expertise strongly preferred and experience in performing valuations of intangible assets for purchase price allocation purposes a plus.
- A keen eye for detail, strong people skills, the ability to work at one’s own initiative, the willingness to travel, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Solid project management and organizational skills are essential, including the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and willingness to work across advisory service lines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to clearly convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Full proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of products and electronic research tools is required.
