The Energy Networks and Indigenous Policy Branch is seeking a collaborative leader to help guide some of Ontario's most significant electricity transmission priorities. The Transmission Policy Unit plays a central role in shaping how Ontario plans, develops, and delivers the electricity transmission infrastructure that powers communities, supports major investments, and enables future economic growth.

From emerging energy demands to major transmission projects across the province, the team's work helps guide decisions that influence how Ontario's electricity system evolves for years to come. Working across government with energy agencies, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and industry partners, the team leads complex policy, legislative, regulatory, and infrastructure initiatives that support the planning and delivery of major transmission projects across Ontario.

- Lead policy, legislative, and regulatory initiatives that help guide the planning and delivery of major electricity transmission infrastructure projects across Ontario.
- Provide strategic advice and briefings on complex,



high-profile transmission and energy issues that support government decision-making and infrastructure planning.
- Guide policy approaches for transmission planning and infrastructure development that support growing communities, economic development, and emerging energy demands.
- Bring together ministries, energy agencies, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and industry partners to advance solutions to complex transmission policy challenges.
- Enable informed decision-making by translating complex technical, regulatory, and infrastructure issues into explicit, actionable advice for decision-makers.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team that delivers strategic policy solutions on issues that influence Ontario's electricity infrastructure and future energy needs.

- Building Partnerships: Develop and maintain productive relationships with partners, stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and other interest holders to advance shared objectives.
- Collaboration: Bring together diverse perspectives to address complex policy challenges, identify common ground, and support effective outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage partners early, seek input, and use feedback to inform recommendations, strengthen relationships, and support decision-making.

Communication, Issues Management and Political Acuity

- Communication: Communicate complex information clearly through briefings, presentations, recommendations, and written materials tailored to different audiences.
