Location: On-site Manufacturing Facility at 13111 159 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 1H6

Position Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision parts on a variety of manual machines such as, lathes, mills, and radial drills.

You will obtain information such as job instructions from company documentation, the “traveller”, and will ensure that all work is complying with environmental, quality, health, and safety standards

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Set up and safely operate a variety of manual machines including lathes, milling machines, and radial drills.Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, required tooling, sequence of operations, and materials.

Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools to identify defects and ensure strict conformance to specifications and GD&T; requirements.

Meet established production schedules, deadlines, and project timelines to support client requirements and service delivery.

Actively participate in Lean manufacturing/service initiatives, maintaining company standards and requirements under our Quality Management System (QMS).

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace. Perform routine equipment checks, isolate machinery irregularities, and assist with fabricating replacement parts during maintenance or overhauls.





Safely operate overhead cranes or forklift to move heavy materials, fixtures, and workpieces.

Maintain active participation in all aspects of the Health & Safety program, adhering to safe work practices, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations.

Perform additional shop or manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Journeyperson / Red Seal Machinist certification is strongly preferred.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience operating manual lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing or service shop environment.

Advanced proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., ID/OD micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, indicators, scales).

In-depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).

Advanced knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.

Strong shop math skills, including practical application of geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication.

Demonstrated ability to operate overhead cranes and forklift safely.

Excellent problem-solving skills and sharp attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
