Whistler Snow Removal Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hard-working Manual Snow Removal Technician to join our team for the winter season.

We are ideally looking for someone who may be interested in returning for multiple seasons and growing with the company as we continue to expand. This is a physical, outdoor role that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Employees will receive guaranteed pay equivalent to 25 hours per week throughout the applicable winter employment period, providing consistent income even during lighter snowfall periods.

Morning availability is required 7 days per week throughout the winter season. Following significant snowfall, shifts may begin as early as 4:00 AM so properties can be cleared before they become busy. Hours and start times will vary depending on snowfall and weather conditions.

Duties

- Clear snow and ice from walkways, sidewalks, entrances, stairs, and other designated areas using shovels and other manual equipment.
- Operate snow blowers and other small snow-removal equipment as required.
- Apply salt and de-icing materials to maintain safe walking surfaces.
- Participate in a salting shift rotation during periods when properties require de-icing but do not require snow removal.
- Work efficiently with other crew members to complete assigned properties on schedule.




- Identify icy areas and other potential hazards that require attention.
- Assist with basic maintenance and organization of snow-removal equipment and supplies.
- Be available for early morning shifts based on snowfall and weather conditions.

Qualifications
- Prior snow-removal, landscaping, construction, or other outdoor labour experience is an asset, but not required.
- Sports, athletics, strength training, or other physically demanding backgrounds are considered an asset.
- Physically capable of performing repetitive manual work outdoors in winter conditions.
- Must be available for morning shifts 7 days per week throughout the winter season.
- Comfortable with start times as early as 4:00 AM following significant snowfall.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for weather-dependent shifts.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience operating snow blowers or similar equipment is an asset.
- Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of keeping pedestrian areas safe.
