Inno Foods is looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist to help lead the continued growth of our marketing and e-commerce presence across North America.

This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for setting marketing direction, establishing priorities, guiding execution, analyzing results, mentoring junior team members, and communicating recommendations to leadership.

The successful candidate will work with an existing Marketing team supporting social media, content creation, influencer marketing, community management, customer service, and e-commerce operations. They will not be expected to personally execute every function. Their responsibility is to ensure these efforts work together effectively and remain aligned with broader company goals.

At the same time, this is not a purely managerial role. The successful candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute directly when their expertise or additional support is needed.

Primary Areas of Direct Ownership

· North American marketing strategy, messaging, and copy

· Amazon operations and marketplace growth

· E-commerce strategy and optimization

· Marketing analysis, testing, and reporting to leadership

Areas of Strategic Oversight

· North American social media and content

· Influencer marketing

· Community management and customer experience

· Development and mentorship of junior Marketing team members

Key ResponsibilitiesNorth American Marketing Strategy & Brand Communication

· Develop a strong understanding of our products, consumers, competitors, retail environment, and key North American customer segments.

· Translate company objectives into clear marketing priorities, positioning, and actionable plans.

· Take primary responsibility for North American consumer-facing copy across product packaging, websites, e-commerce, Amazon, social media, campaigns, and other marketing materials.

· Develop product names, positioning, key selling messages, and campaign messaging for new and existing products.

· Conduct market, consumer, and competitor research to identify changing behaviours, emerging food trends, category opportunities, and potential areas for innovation.

· Review and continuously improve how we communicate our products and brand across channels.

Amazon & Marketplace Management

· Lead Inno Foods' Amazon operations and become an internal subject-matter expert on the platform.

· Manage new product launches from planning and listing creation through production coordination, inbound shipping, launch, and ongoing optimization.

· Continuously optimize listings, advertising, pricing, promotions, imagery, copy, inventory, and other factors affecting marketplace performance.

· Monitor key performance indicators including traffic, conversion, advertising efficiency, inventory, customer feedback, returns, and account health; diagnose performance issues and recommend corrective actions.

· Work cross-functionally with Management, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, Design, QA, and other teams to keep launches and inventory requirements on track.

· Stay current on Amazon policies, programs, and best practices and determine which opportunities should be adopted by the company.

Direct Amazon experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong direct-to-consumer or comparable e-commerce experience will also be considered if they demonstrate the ability and willingness to quickly learn the platform.

E-commerce

· Lead the strategic development and ongoing optimization of our growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce channel while working alongside staff supporting day-to-day operations.

· Analyze customer acquisition, conversion, retention, merchandising,

promotions, and the overall customer journey to identify opportunities for growth.

· Help develop the marketing funnel, prioritize resources and budgets, and guide testing aimed at increasing sales while minimizing unnecessary costs.

· Work with internal teams to ensure inventory, packaging, shipping materials, fulfillment processes, and supporting systems can meet the needs of the business.

· Regularly work directly within our storefronts and reporting tools to understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Social Media, Influencer Marketing & Customer Engagement

· Provide strategic direction and oversight for North American social media, content, influencer marketing, community management, and customer engagement.

· Establish priorities around which products, messages, campaigns, and audiences should receive the greatest focus.

· Review content and campaigns, provide clear feedback to the team, and ensure consumer-facing work is engaging, accurate, on-brand, and aligned with business objectives.

· Evaluate influencer opportunities based on audience fit, content quality, brand alignment, cost, and commercial potential, and use campaign results to improve future strategy.

· Help the team navigate sensitive or escalated consumer situations and identify recurring customer feedback that may indicate broader marketing, product, quality, or operational issues.

· Analyze performance across these channels to determine what should be scaled, improved, tested further, or discontinued.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

· Help lead the Marketing team toward clear, shared objectives and translate strategy into actionable priorities.

· Provide mentorship, feedback, and support to junior Marketing team members while helping develop their strategic thinking, judgment, and execution.

· Delegate effectively while remaining accountable for the overall quality and performance of the team's work.

· Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, collaboration, and how Marketing resources are being used.

· Personally contribute to execution when workload, deadlines, or business needs require additional support.

Analysis, Optimization & Executive Reporting

· Use data to evaluate marketing initiatives, campaigns, sales channels, and product launches.

· Identify meaningful KPIs, develop hypotheses around changes in performance, and use testing to continuously improve results.

· Manage and evaluate marketing budgets with an understanding of ROI, ROAS, efficiency, and broader business impact.

· Determine when strategies should be scaled, adjusted, or discontinued.

· Prepare executive-level reports summarizing performance, key learnings, risks, opportunities, and priorities, and clearly communicate recommendations to leadership.

The expectation is not simply to report what happened, but to understand why it happened, what it means, and what we should do next.

Qualifications & ExperienceWhat We're Looking For

· 5 years of professional marketing experience with demonstrated progression into ownership of projects, strategy, and results.

· Strong marketing and business judgment, with the ability to prioritize opportunities, diagnose problems, and make practical recommendations.

· Experience developing marketing strategies and translating business objectives into actionable plans.

· Experience leading projects and providing mentorship, direction, or constructive feedback to junior team members.

· Exceptional professional English writing and consumer copywriting skills across digital, e-commerce, social media, product, and brand communications.

· Strong understanding of brand positioning, target audiences, customer acquisition, retention, marketing funnels, and the customer journey.

· Strong analytical skills and experience using data, testing, and performance metrics to make marketing decisions.

· Meaningful hands-on experience with Amazon, direct-to-consumer e-commerce, or another comparable online sales channel.

· Experience managing marketing budgets and evaluating results based on commercial outcomes.

· Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and competing priorities.

· Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy to both the Marketing team and senior leadership.

· Comfortable operating in a growing department and moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution as needed.

Above all, we are looking for someone with solid ownership, curiosity, judgment, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

We do not expect candidates to arrive with experience in every area of the role. We value people who are honest about gaps in their experience, comfortable admitting when they do not know something, and willing to put in the effort required to become proficient in new areas.

Nice to Have

· Direct experience with Amazon Seller Central, including FBA/FBM, advertising, listing optimization, inventory management, and product launches.

· Experience launching or scaling a direct-to-consumer e-commerce business, including Shopify or a comparable platform.

· Experience managing six-figure marketing campaigns or annual marketing budgets.

· Experience within consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, or grocery retail.

· Familiarity with major North American retailers such as Costco and Sam's Club.

· Understanding of food packaging, product claims, production timelines, shelf life, and related marketing considerations.

· Hands-on experience creating social media content or managing influencer partnerships at scale.
