Role Description Mechanic: Fox Creek Location is a full-time, on-site role based in Fox Creek, AB. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and rental assets, including skid steers, telehandlers, manlifts, and related jobsite support equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, completing service documentation, and ensuring equipment is safe, clean, and ready for customers.

The mechanic collaborates with the operations team to prioritize repairs, support timely turnaround, and reduce equipment downtime for clients. This role may also involve field service work,



assisting with equipment pickups or deliveries, and communicating clearly with internal staff and customers about equipment status and recommendations.

Qualifications

- Strong maintenance skills, including general Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance on a range of equipment.
- Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair for heavy equipment, with experience diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment in construction, industrial, or oil and gas environments.
- Effective Troubleshooting abilities to quickly identify root causes and implement safe, practical solutions.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Automotive Service Technician, or equivalent (journeyperson or advanced apprenticeship level preferred).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including safe lifting, lockout/tagout, and use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with dispatch, yard staff, and customer-facing team members.
- Strong organizational skills, including accurate recordkeeping of inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
- Comfort working in outdoor and industrial environments and, when required, responding to after-hours or urgent service needs
