Responsibilities
- Assist experienced mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as Semi trucks
- Prepare tools and parts needed for repairs using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Support the disassembly and assembly of machinery components following technical diagrams and safety protocols
- Conduct basic inspections on equipment to identify issues related to mechanical or electrical systems
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large parts or machinery components
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency during repair processes
- Follow safety procedures diligently while working with heavy machinery and power tools
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or hands-on exposure to heavy equipment maintenance is highly preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment, automotive repair.
- Familiarity with operating or assisting with Semi-trucks
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and schematics reading is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong willingness to learn new skills related to mechanical repair and maintenance
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with team members or clients
