We have an immediate opening for a full-time mechanical engineering technician / technologist.

The ideal candidate is a hard-working and eager individual with relevant experience in the mechanical field and a focus on technically challenging projects. The successful candidate will have extensive technical and detailing skills and be client service oriented. The ability to handle multiple projects at once, great organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, time management skills and attention to detail as well as technical drawing and detailing skills are also essential.

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Work withing the engineering department to assist with the review and design of new and renovated mechanical and electrical building systems
- Conduct field reviews to check for accuracy of documentation for existing and new construction drawings
- Assist with analysis and collection of information required to perform design calculations and building modelling
- Review of equipment specifications and shop drawings for conformance to the design drawings and specifications
- Drafting of design information in either Revit and/or AutoCad based on sketches and mark-ups from the Engineering Team
- Coordination with other engineering disciplines,



architecture and interior design disciplines to exchange information.
- Assists with writing of design reports, comparison of systems, and in determination of system feasibilities

Qualifications & Skills:

- Has completed a Mechanical Engineering Technician / Technologist program
- Is familiar with building systems used in commercial and institutional building projects – in particular plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler and/or automation and controls
- · Excellent working knowledge of BIM, Revit and Microsoft Office 365.
- Possesses an understanding of building codes and standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive and enthusiastic demeanour with a professional attitude.
- Is a team player with strong work ethic
- Is able to work both independently and as a team member, and takes direction well
- Is able to work in a fast paced and independent environment

The salary range for this position is between $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience. Our firm also offers competitive benefits and career growth opportunities through training.
