Meadowlark Surgical Centre & Cosmetic Clinic is Edmonton's one stop destination for cosmetic and surgical treatments. We are a client-first, team-driven clinic delivering customized results in an elevated, professional setting. Owned by seven plastic surgeons and supported by a team of approximately 50, we run three operating rooms across the full continuum of care: pre-operative assessment, surgery, and post-operative recovery.

We are currently looking for a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team, someone meticulous about the work and confident enough to say when something is not ready.

Reprocessing is why our rooms run on time and safely, and we treat it that way. This is not a back-room job here. You will be in daily contact with the surgical team, working independently but with full support from colleagues who value trust, growth, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

As a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, you will:

- Receive, sort and decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment following established protocols
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function and damage, and remove anything that fails inspection from service
- Assemble and wrap instrument trays to set lists, accurately and consistently
- Operate and monitor washer-disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners and sterilisers
- Run and document biological,



chemical and mechanical monitoring for every sterilisation cycle
- Maintain accurate reprocessing records and instrument tracking
- Manage sterile stock, including rotation, storage conditions, expiry and par levels
- Order and receive reprocessing supplies, and flag shortages before they affect a slate
- Follow and help maintain written reprocessing policies in line with CSA Z314 and facility accreditation standards
- Communicate promptly with the operating room team about instrument availability, turnaround, and anything affecting a case
- Contribute to a safe, high-functioning facility with a solution-oriented mindset

Who You Are

- Completion of a recognised Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program, or equivalent experience with a commitment to certify
- CBSPD or HSPA certification an asset
- Working knowledge of CSA Z314 standards
- Experience in a surgical or hospital reprocessing department preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail. In this role, close enough is not good enough.
- Strong documentation habits and comfort with tracking systems
- Able to plan a day around the posted slate and re-prioritise when it changes
- Able to lift, stand and work in a warm, physically active workplace
- Comfortable working independently and accountable to team standards

Compensation & Schedule

- Job Type: Casual
- Schedule: Casual day shifts based on the surgical schedule, currently Monday to Friday. No nights or on-call.
- Location: #178, 15603-87 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB
- Compensation: $27–$31 per hour
- Advantages: Group benefits are available, subject to eligibility.
- Anticipated Start Date: Immediately

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour
