Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

Help shape how students access care through a responsive, single-session therapy model.

Reporting to the Director of Counselling & Clinical Services (CCS), the mental health counsellor delivers single session therapy and first-session assessment and intervention to students at the University of Alberta.



This is a chance to practice within a responsive system that prioritizes rapid access. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, doctoral residents, and master's practicum students.

Beyond direct clinical work, the role includes facilitating psychoeducational workshops and skills-based programming, and contributing to program development and evaluation alongside CCS leadership. The counsellor may also assist with hiring, training, and/or supervision of graduate students.
