Position Overview:

Pureform is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our Calgary and Airdrie team in a flexible on-call position designed to support both planned and unexpected clinic coverage. This opportunity is available on a part-time or full-time basis, with employees committing to availability 3–5 days per week. In recognition of the flexibility required, all hours worked in the on-call position receive an additional $5.00/hour premium on top of the regular hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (abdomen, pelvis, endovaginal, appendix, early dating OBS, scrotum, thyroid, and lumps) in accordance with company protocols and professional standards.
- Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment per infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
- Communicate diagnostic results and preliminary findings clearly to Radiologists.




- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in accordance with privacy laws and facility policies.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, providing coverage as scheduled in advance or called in the morning of a shift.
- Remain current on continuing education requirements and sonography licensure.

Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Active certification and good standing with Sonography Canada, with current Professional Liability Insurance.
- MSK (Musculoskeletal) certification required.
- 3+ year of sonography experience preferred.
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills, with comfort in Windows-based programs.
- Proficiency in English required, as all work is conducted in English.

- Reliable transportation across clinic locations.
- Availability for on-call coverage, including morning call-ins and scheduled advance coverage.
