Meadowlark Surgical Centre & Cosmetic Clinic is Edmonton's one stop destination for cosmetic and surgical treatments. We are a client-first, team-driven clinic delivering customized results in an elevated, qualified setting. Owned by seven plastic surgeons and supported by a team of approximately 50, we run three operating rooms across the full continuum of care: pre-operative assessment, surgery, and post-operative recovery.

We are currently looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our surgical team, people who are confident in both the scrub and circulating roles and committed to the kind of preparation that makes a day list run properly.

We are building our casual nursing pool and are looking for nurses who can offer consistent availability for at least two days per week. There may be an opportunity to transition to full time if you are a good fit for our team. You will work alongside our surgeons and anaesthesia team with full support from colleagues who value trust, growth, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

As an Operating Room Nurse, you will:

- Initiate pre-operative assessment of the surgical patient
- Assist anaesthesia with induction
- Work competently in both the scrub and circulating roles across our three operating rooms
- Monitor patients while they are still under the effects of general anaesthesia
- Prepare and turn over rooms between cases,



working to the posted slate
- Collaborate with our reprocessing team on instrument availability and case readiness
- Orient and support new operating room personnel
- Function to the full scope of practical nursing practice
- Document thoroughly and complete all facility paperwork accurately
- Communicate clearly with patients and families, verbally and in writing
- Contribute to a safe, high-functioning theatre with a solution-oriented mindset

Who You Are

- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP)
- Perioperative Nursing course or certificate preferred. Applicants without it may be considered if they bring significant perioperative experience
- Ideally 2–3 years of perioperative experience; substantially more experience may be considered in place of the course or certificate. Plastics, orthopaedics or day surgery experience is an asset
- Able to scrub and circulate a full day list, and stay steady when the slate changes
- Sound judgement and the confidence to speak up in the moment
- Comfortable working independently and accountable to team standards
- Available for at least two day shifts per week. Shifts may fall Monday to Friday and hours can vary with the surgical schedule.

Compensation & Schedule

- Job Type: Casual
- Schedule: At least two day shifts per week, Monday to Friday, based on the surgical schedule. No nights or on-call.
- Location: #178, 15603-87 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB
- Compensation: $35–$44.23 per hour
- Benefits: May be available with a commitment of three days per week
- Anticipated Start Date: Immediately

Pay: $35.00-$44.23 per hour
