Full-Time | Long-Haul Trucking

We are looking for an experienced Operations / Dispatch Manager with a strong background in North American long-haul trucking operations and freight dispatching.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years of direct trucking dispatch/operations experience is REQUIRED.

Applicants with less than 5 years of relevant experience will NOT be considered.

Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

- Oversee and manage day-to-day trucking operations
- Manage, supervise and support fellow dispatchers
- Assign responsibilities and ensure dispatchers are effectively managing their trucks and drivers
- Monitor overall fleet movement and ensure trucks remain productive
- DAT, LOADLINK and other freight/load board platforms
- Actively searching, finding and booking loads
- Negotiating freight rates with brokers and customers
- Managing and planning loads for multiple trucks
- Building profitable routes and minimizing empty miles
- Coordinating pickups, deliveries and appointments
- Communicating with drivers, brokers, shippers and receivers
- Handling delays, breakdowns, missed appointments and other operational issues
- Understanding Canada–U.S. cross-border trucking operations




- Monitoring driver availability, HOS and trip progress
- Maintaining strong broker/customer relationships

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We need someone who can manage operations independently, make quick decisions and keep trucks moving efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of freight markets, lane planning, rate negotiation and load boards and be comfortable working in a fast-paced trucking environment.

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years of trucking dispatch/operations experience — mandatory
- Strong experience with DAT, LOADLINK and other load boards
- Proven experience finding and booking loads
- Strong rate-negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Canada and U.S. freight lanes
- Ability to manage multiple trucks/drivers simultaneously

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
