Overview

Summit Surfaces Ltd. is a growing painting and finishing company serving St. Thomas, London, and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential and commercial painting, including interior repaints, new construction, exterior work, decks, and property maintenance projects.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Painter or Painter Helper to join our team full time.

We are not necessarily looking for someone with 10+ years of experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up consistently, works well with others, and is interested in developing their skills as our company grows.

This is a hands on position with a variety of projects and opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, cleaning, filling, caulking, and masking
- Apply paint, primer, stain, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers when appropriate
- Complete interior and exterior painting projects
- Assist with drywall repairs and basic finishing
- Sand, clean, prepare, and stain decks and other exterior wood surfaces
- Protect floors, furniture, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces before beginning work
- Maintain clean and organized jobsites throughout the project
- Complete touch ups and inspect finished work for quality
- Safely use ladders, sanders, pressure washers, sprayers, and other painting equipment
- Work efficiently alongside other painters while maintaining our quality standards
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, property managers, and other team members when required

Qualifications





Previous painting or construction experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

- $20 to $25 per hour to start, based on experience and ability
