Salary Range $68,730.43 - $74,712.45 annually Close Date 10/8/2026 Job Type Regular Full Time Temporary End Date 3/31/2028 Ministry/Organization BC Public Service -> Attorney General Ministry Branch / Division Legal Services Branch Job Summary The Team The Legal Services Branch supports the Ministry of Attorney General by providing legal advice to the Government of British Columbia on civil law matters. The team works collaboratively to provide trusted legal services that support fair, accessible and accountable public services, while valuing diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.

The Role

This role provides paralegal support to the Legal Services Branch, working under the guidance of Legal Counsel to assist with the preparation and delivery of legal services. The position requires strong attention to detail, collaboration and sound judgement, while contributing to an inclusive and respectful environment where diverse perspectives are valued.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

- Paralegal Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a recognized institution. Proof of completion credentials required.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Recent experience (within the last 3 years) managing and coordinating document production and disclosure.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a legal office environment.
- Recent experience (within the last 3 years) on personal injury claims involving medical and expert evidence.
- Recent experience (within the last 3 years)



managing high volumes of files with competing deadlines and shifting priorities.

About this Position:

This is a temporary opportunity until 03/31/2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.

Versatile work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.

A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.

Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
