Job Purpose & Responsibilities

This is a Term position with the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Parks Foreman, this position is responsible for:

- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, mulching, and general care of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials.
- Help install and maintain landscape features such as flower beds, planters, and turf areas.
- Participate in on-the-job training in horticultural techniques.
- Support special events or community programs as needed.
- Assist with basic operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems.
- Safely operate hand tools and small equipment.





Qualifications & Competencies

- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Class 5 Driver License is preferred.

More Details

This position will commence immediately with a term end date of December 15, 2026. The wage for this position is $21.33 per hour, 40 hours a week.

This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
