Position Summary

Part-Time position Custom Training Solutions is seeking qualified individuals to teach Fluid Power courses multiple times throughout the year.

Successful candidates will be on a casual contract basis with deliveries scheduled as early as mid-October 2026 to teach Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Conestoga’s Cambridge campuses. Flexible hours are required as scheduled shifts will include two full weeks of instruction per course delivery.

Responsibilities

- Evaluate student progress/achievement, assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within the assigned course and maintain records as required
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds, and learning styles
- Work in a collaborative, collegial manner both within the department and across the college

Qualifications

- Industrial Electrician 442A credentials are required
- Minimum five years of experience working with fluid power equipment,



with a thorough understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-pneumatic functions is required
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners either in a formal educational setting or in the workplace; post-secondary teaching experience would be considered an asset
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite is considered an asset
- Possess excellent leadership skills with a solid commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are required
