Location The primary production facility is located in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Our head office is located in downtown Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. All production Operators will be based out of the Windsor location.

This position will be required to report to work Monday and Thursday, with the opportunity for more hours as business requires.

Responsibility

Reporting to the Manufacturing Leader, production operators will be responsible for all aspects of our manufacturing processes.

- The primary responsibility is to work on the production line in various capacities to manufacture and ship our food products.
- Help in the development of operational processes.
- Ensure all aspects of the manufacturing process are being performed with an emphasis on efficiency, food safety, quality, and a focus on the customer.
- Complete production as quickly as possible while maintaining high quality and safety.




- Help to champion continuous improvement, root cause problem solve to fix issues, increase efficiencies, and drive out waste.
- Help and support on preventative and facility maintenance.
- Help and support Inventory/warehouse management.
- Oversee, help perform, and document set up of all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Perform and document cleaning and sanitation in production areas.
- Ensure all activates take place in a timely manner and meets all compliance set out by policy and/or Quality Assurance.
- Ensure all documentation, records and other administration is completed and accurate.

A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications

- Previous experience (2 years) in a manufacturing facility, ideally in food is an asset.
- A license to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment is a asset.
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- The ability to repeatedly lift 23 kilograms (50 pounds).
- The ability to push loaded carts.
- Experience and knowledge of HACCP and GFSI programs (SQF or BRC) is an asset.
- Strong written, interpersonal, communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to do easy computer tasks and interact with basic computer programs.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
