Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly, accurate, efficient, quality-focused and team-oriented Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts Department.

This is a technical, customer-focused role where no two days are exactly the same. You may be helping a walk-in customer identify a part one minute and working with one of our technicians on an urgent equipment repair the next.

Our customers and technicians rely on the Parts team to get the right part, the first time, and keep work moving.

The strongest candidates will be mechanically minded, comfortable working under pressure, and able to balance speed with accuracy. You do not need to know every Kubota machine on day one. Product knowledge develops over time, and we are looking for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems and becoming highly knowledgeable in their role.

Experience with Kubota, heavy equipment, agriculture, automotive, truck, powersports or industrial parts would all be relevant.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly and timely service to walk-in and telephone customers.




- Identify the correct parts using equipment information, diagrams, catalogues, manuals and computer systems.
- Supply parts to B&T; technicians accurately and efficiently.
- Determine equipment make, model and year in order to identify required parts.
- Fill parts orders from stock or place orders as required.
- Recommend appropriate substitutions or alternatives when parts are unavailable.
- Process sales, returns and special orders.
- Assist with inventory checks and aging inventory.
- Notify the Parts Manager of stock shortages or inventory concerns.
- Store and label parts according to established systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized and effective parts area.
- Complete required End of Day reports and procedures.
- Work closely with Parts, Service and Sales to resolve customer and equipment issues.
- Participate in department meetings and discussions around goals and improvements.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a parts, service, dealership, equipment, automotive, truck, agriculture or industrial environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand equipment components and diagrams.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.
- Reliable, team-focused and willing to help where needed.
- Comfortable working within established systems and processes.
- Experience with Kubota equipment is an asset.
- Experience with the Infinity business system is an asset.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office products.
- Bilingualism is an asset.

Essential Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.




- Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Ability to use step stools and ladders to access shelving.
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Ability to identify and respond to potential hazards.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment correctly.

Compensation

Compensation is based on knowledge, skills, education and experience.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
