247 GARD is looking for reliable and skilled Security Guards for Patient Watch duties at a healthcare location in Alliston, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing a professional security presence around patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

- Provide patient watch and maintain continuous observation as assigned.
- Maintain a professional and calm presence at all times.
- Monitor the patient and surrounding area for safety or security concerns.
- Report any unusual behaviour, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate hospital/site staff.
- Assist with maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Use professional communication and de-escalation techniques when required.
- Respond appropriately to security concerns within the scope of training and authority.
- Complete incident reports and required documentation.
- Follow all site procedures, security policies, and instructions from hospital/site management.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements




- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence – required
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification – required
- Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred
- Experience in a hospital, long-term care, retirement home, shelter, or patient-watch environment is preferred.
- Crisis intervention / de-escalation training strongly preferred, such as CPI, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or equivalent.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to complete clear and accurate reports.
- Skilled appearance and conduct.
