Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is accepting applications for One (1) Full Time Care Taker for the PBCFSI Cultural Center. The caretaker will report to the Capital Assets Manager. The Cultural Camp is located 240 kms North East of Prince Albert, SK on Highway 106, Hanson Lake Road. Located in between Bloomfield’s and Deschambault Lake Resort,

The Care Taker will be responsible;

- Maintaining and cleaning the buildings to ensure the facilities are accessible and are secure and effective.
- Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on buildings, facilities and vehicles.
- Cut firewood.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems and ensuring fire protection equipment is properly maintained.
- Coordinating major maintenance and repairs as required to mechanical systems, HVAC systems, furnaces and generators.
- Maintain outboard motors, snowmobiles and be able to use outdoor equipment and power tools.
- Conduct routine, non-licensed inspections of facilities including fire equipment and furnaces.
- Performing maintenance and minor repairs to buildings including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting.
- Maintaining inventory control over equipment and supplies.




- Ensuring security of the premises including buildings and land.

Qualifications
- Grade 12.
- Maturity, responsible, trustworthy and stability.
- Leads a healthy lifestyle.
- Interpersonal skills ability to work with people.
- Willingness to participate in on-going training.
- Verbal and written skills able to communicate.
- Knowledge of Woodland Cree language, culture and the political and social objectives of PBCN First Nation.
- Persons of First Nation’s Ancestry are encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Heavy equipment operator will be an asset. Expected to operate tractor, sewer truck & other equipment.
- Safety tickets are an asset and chainsaw safety is a requirement.
- Employment will be determined based on satisfactory vulnerable sector check
