Emerge Therapy Services is seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing private practice.

This position is particularly well suited to an OT who has an existing position in a school, hospital, community program, public health setting, or another clinical role and is interested in gaining experience in private pediatric practice.

You do not need to leave your current role to join us.

The position can begin as a small, adaptable part-time caseload based on your availability, with the potential to grow over time if desired.

About the Position The Pediatric OT will provide individualized assessment, intervention and consultation for children and adolescents with a range of developmental, sensory, emotional, executive functioning and participation needs.

Clinical work may include

- Individual pediatric OT assessment and intervention
- Sensory processing and regulation support
- Executive functioning intervention
- Interoception and body-awareness work
- Attachment- and trauma-informed intervention
- Parent/caregiver consultation and coaching
- School consultation and observation
- Development of home and classroom strategies
- Collaboration with other professionals
- Opportunities to collaborate and co-treat with an SLP on site

Having an SLP within the clinic creates opportunities for interdisciplinary consultation and OT/SLP co-treatment, particularly for children whose regulation, sensory processing, communication, social participation and functional needs overlap. Who We Are Looking For

Applicants should have

- Registration and good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba
- Minimum 5 years of occupational therapy experience
- Significant experience working with children and families
- Knowledge of attachment,



developmental trauma and trauma-informed practice
- Experience supporting neurodivergent children, including children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing differences and executive functioning challenges
- Understanding of sensory processing, nervous system regulation, co-regulation and interoception
- Solid clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families, schools and other professionals
- Commitment to neuroaffirming, strengths-based and child- and family-centred practice

Training or experience in Sensory Integration, Attachment Theory, Theraplay, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal-informed practice, DIR/Floortime, interoception or other relational/developmental approaches is considered an asset. A Flexible Entry Into Private Practice

We recognize that experienced OTs may be interested in private practice without wanting to give up the security, relationships or benefits of an existing position.

This role can be structured as a part-time addition to your current employment, providing an opportunity to:

- Experience greater autonomy in treatment planning
- Collaborate and co-treat with an on-site SLP

We are interested in finding the right clinician and creating a sustainable role, rather than requiring someone to immediately take on a full caseload. Pay: $78.00-$84.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 25.0 per week
