Strength & Nutrition Coach
Iron Lab | Vancouver, BC
$30–$50/hour performance-based bonuses
About the Role:
Iron Lab is a private strength training and coaching studio in downtown Vancouver. We work with people who want to get stronger, feel better, and make meaningful, sustainable changes to their health and fitness.
We’re looking for an experienced Strength & Nutrition Coach to join our team.
This is more than a personal training role. Our coaches work with clients through in-person strength training as well as individualized programming, nutrition coaching, and ongoing support. We take a thoughtful, individualized approach rather than putting everyone through the same workouts or relying on short-term fitness trends.
This role is best suited to someone who already has a strong foundation as a coach and is looking for a place where they can do high-quality work, work closely with a team, and build long-term relationships with clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized strength training sessions.
- Assess clients, understand their goals and needs, and develop appropriate training strategies.
- Coach movement and technique with attention to detail, making adjustments based on the individual in front of you.
- Develop and manage training programs both in person and remotely.
- Provide practical nutrition coaching and help clients build sustainable habits.
- Monitor client progress and adjust training and coaching based on results.
- Communicate with clients between sessions and provide appropriate accountability and support.
- Work collaboratively with the Iron Lab team to maintain a consistently high standard of coaching and client care.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operation and environment of the studio.
The Coach We’re Looking For:
You genuinely enjoy strength training and understand its value beyond simply changing how someone looks. You practice what you coach and take an interest in your own health, training and continued development.
You are comfortable working independently, think things through, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing things properly. You can work with a wide range of people and bring a calm, professional and approachable presence to the studio.
We’re looking for someone who wants to coach, not simply deliver workouts.
Our Coaching Approach:
At Iron Lab, we have a clear coaching methodology that guides how we work with our clients. We value consistency in our approach while encouraging coaches to bring their own experience, judgment and personality to their work. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely interested in continuing to learn, develop their coaching skills, and contribute to a team that shares knowledge, challenges ideas, and improves together.
Requirements:
- Current recognized personal training certification (CPT, NSCA, NASM, CSEP, ACE or equivalent)
- Personal liability insurance
- Experience coaching strength training with real clients
- Strong understanding of exercise technique, programming and progression
- Ability to provide evidence-based nutrition coaching within your scope of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable availability and solid organizational skills
- Legally able to work in Canada long-term
- Located in Vancouver and able to work in person at our downtown studio
Experience with online coaching, individualized programming and nutrition coaching is strongly preferred.

- $30–$50/hour, based on experience and coaching ability
- Performance-based bonuses
- Opportunity to build a full-time client schedule
- In-person and online coaching experience
