- For us, patients are neighbors, not numbers. We are looking for an experienced, high-functioning Pharmacy Assistant to become a long-term, core member of our dispensary family. - & Core Duties:We are looking for a candidate who can balance back-end technical workflow with warm, front-facing patient interactions. Your role will be vital in keeping our dispensary moving efficiently, our stock tightly managed, and our patient environment welcoming.
- Requirements :
- Patient-First Service & Positive Attitude: Greet every patient with an authentic, friendly smile. Bring energy and a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude to the dispensary team every single day.
- Smart Inventory Management: Maintain full ownership of the dispensary stock. This includes processing daily wholesaler orders, managing stock rotation to minimize expiry wastage, handling return-to-stocks, and proactively monitoring inventory levels so we never run out of fast-moving medications during peak season.
- Advocacy & Insurance Adjudication: Independently manage and troubleshoot complex third-party billing (ODB, NIHB, Trillium, private plans).



Actively advocate for patients by resolving billing rejections quickly within the Fillware Rx system.
- Proactive Communication: Clearly explain wait times, follow up on backordered medications with patients, and liaise with local doctor’s offices regarding refills or clarifications with a skilled, helpful tone.
- Dispensary Efficiency: Accurately interpret, input, and prepare new prescriptions and refills using Fillware, maintaining high safety standards under pharmacist supervision.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in Ontario.
- Software Mastery: Confident, hands-on proficiency with Fillware Rx is strictly required.
- Inventory Experience: Proven familiarity with pharmacy inventory workflows, wholesaler ordering platforms, and managing dead stock or expiries.
- Enthusiastic & Positive Demeanor: A naturally upbeat personality. You handle difficult customer situations gracefully and bring a calm, positive presence to a fast-paced dispensary environment.
