Physician Medical Director – Respirology, Sleep Medicine & PFT

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Respirologist/Sleep Medicine Physician to provide direct patient care and physician leadership for an established Sleep Lab and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) program in Sarnia, Ontario.

This role combines a clinical Respirology and Sleep Medicine practice with Medical Director responsibilities, diagnostic interpretation, and operational oversight.

The successful physician will work closely with clinical, technical, and administrative teams while maintaining active patient practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Respirology and Sleep Medicine consultations, follow-up care, diagnosis and treatment.
- Assess and manage patients with respiratory conditions, sleep apnea and other sleep-related disorders within the physician’s scope.
- Provide Medical Director oversight for the Sarnia Sleep Lab and PFT program.
- Review and/or interpret sleep studies where appropriate.
- Provide clinical guidance to sleep technologists and PFT staff.
- Participate in quality assurance, policy and protocol review, incident review and continuous improvement.
- Support development and growth of the Respirology and Sleep Medicine program and referral network.

Qualifications

- Licensed or eligible for independent practice in Ontario.




- Appropriate specialist certification and professional liability coverage.
- Interest in combining direct patient care with Medical Director and operational responsibilities.

Incentives

- Professional income from Respirology and Sleep Medicine consultations
- Approximately 140 PFT interpretations per month, currently estimated to provide approximately $14000/month in additional PFT-related compensation
- Attractive Fee Spilit Model with high volume PFTs, sleep studies and patients
- Final compensation and incentive proportions will be discussed with the selected physician and structured according to the agreed clinical and Medical Director responsibilities.
