Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler for an on-site contract role in Logan Lake, BC. The successful candidate will support maintenance planning and scheduling, ensuring work is clearly defined, appropriately resourced, and ready for execution.

The role requires hands-on experience with IBM Maximo to develop and maintain work orders, job plans, and planning information. Day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing maintenance requests and backlogs, defining work scopes, estimating labour and task durations, identifying required parts and services, and developing work packages and schedules that reflect operational priorities and resource availability.

The Planner / Scheduler will work closely with maintenance, operations, reliability, and supply chain teams to confirm work readiness, resolve planning constraints, and coordinate scheduled activities.



Additional responsibilities include monitoring schedule performance, updating plans as priorities change, supporting budget tracking and forecasting, and improving the quality and consistency of maintenance planning processes.

Qualifications

- Hands-on IBM Maximo experience is required, including work order management, job plan development, backlog review, and use of maintenance history to support planning.
- Strong maintenance planning and scheduling capabilities, including defining work scopes, estimating labour and durations, identifying materials, and coordinating resources.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, equipment information, and maintenance requirements and translate them into clear, executable work packages.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and support operational decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities across maintenance, operations, reliability, and supply chain teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple work orders, competing priorities, and changing timelines.
- Experience in mining or other heavy industrial environments, along with an understanding of secure work practices, is an asset.
- A relevant trade certification or post-secondary education in engineering, maintenance, operations management, or a related field is an asset.
