Job Title: Platform Engineer – Release Train Strategist II

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

About the Role : Join a leading financial institution supporting a Global Transaction Banking platform. This role focuses on platform engineering, software delivery modernization, DevOps transformation, and AI-enabled engineering within a large enterprise environment.

You will partner with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and product teams to improve developer productivity, modernize software delivery, and accelerate adoption of up-to-date engineering practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Support platform engineering and software delivery modernization initiatives.
- Design and implement CI/CD, automation, DevOps, and release processes.
- Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted engineering and developer productivity tools.
- Support GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, source control, and developer workflows.




- Identify opportunities to automate and standardize engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise for priority modernization initiatives.

Must-Have Skills

- 8+ years of overall experience in software/platform engineering or related areas.
- Strong DevOps experience, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and software delivery modernization.
- Experience implementing modern engineering practices in large enterprise environments.
- Experience evaluating/adopting AI-assisted software development or engineering productivity tools.
- Strong GitHub Enterprise & GitHub Actions experience.
- Understanding of practical AI use cases across the SDLC.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
