Duties

- Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures according to schematics and blueprints
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.




- Instruct apprentices
- Learn to operate welding equipment and perform basic welding tasks when necessary
- Participate in the assembly of plumbing components and systems following safety standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner to promote safety and efficiency.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Schedule personnel, tools and equipment
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size

Pay: $20.00-$35.75 per hour
