TITLE: Pre-Employment Facilitator

Reporting Relationship: Manager of Employment Services/Team Lead

Qualifications: Related degree or diploma and experience supporting persons with disabilities; experience in delivering training, life skills or adult education; excellent verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft office computer skills; valid drivers' license, vehicle, and required insurance; valid standard First Aid/CPR & CPI certification, Having an interst in Urban Agriculture is a definite asset.

Job Summary: In keeping with the philosophy of inclusion and the mission of Hutton House, the Employment Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of individualized Return to Work Action Plans aimed at securing and maintaining employment for young adults with disabilities.

Job Category: Fulltime, contract (35 hrs) contract until March 31, 2027

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Training

- Schedule and deliver training within the context of the program outlines and curriculums.
- Develop training materials to meet the needs of the participants.
- Ensure that individual plans are formally developed to address specific barriers that may impact on the participant’s successful acquisition and/or maintenance of employment.

2. Program DevelopmentActively work to increase program effectiveness and efficiency from intake to job procurement.

- Actively promote Hutton House Employment Services to community businesses and referral sources.
- Maintaining positive linkages with community agencies who are also providing supports to program participants.

3. Monitoring & Evaluation Ensuring that each program participant completes an evaluation at the conclusion of each program component.





Developing and maintaining outcome standards to evaluate trainee progress and overall program effectiveness.

Maintaining tracking records on a timely basis pertaining to direct and indirect participant supports.

4. Working Relationships:

To maintain a positive, supportive relationship with all staff, participants and volunteers.

To advocate to ensure that the dignity and rights of persons with disabilities are advanced.

To adhere to all policies of the organization to ensure a secure and supportive environment for participants.

To contribute as a team member to the overall mission of the organization and the goals or objectives of the team.

To respect and adhere to confidentiality in all communications with others. Participate in staff meetings or committee meetings and other events of the organization as required.

Participate in an annual performance evaluation. Participate as a positive team member engaging in professional development as required.

Reporting on a regular basis to the Program Coordinator.

- Safety:

Maintenance of fire, safety and health conditions in compliance with Workers' Compensation, WHMIS, other legislation and Hutton House policies. The correction of any offences or concerns identified by the Health and Safety Committee; reporting promptly on any physical or health condition that may affect employees, participants, or volunteers.

Responding to emergencies and completion/submission of accident/incident reports on a timely basis.

To maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment.

6. Other duties as agreed upon.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.53 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
