Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Services - Archdiocese of Toronto (CCFS) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that operates several cemeteries and funeral homes. As an established leader in the bereavement profession, we continue to experience continued growth and are seeking an exceptional Pre-Planning Funeral Counsellor to join our team.

This position will be expected to work at both Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home (Woodbridge) and at Assumption Catholic Funeral Home (Mississauga).

The Position:

As a Pre-Planning Counsellor, you will report to the Funeral Home Manager and be responsible for developing opportunities and establishing lasting relationships within the Catholic community. You will be expected to promote and arrange funerals and related supplies and services to pre-need clients for the purposes of mission fulfillment, revenue generation and market share growth. In addition, you will assist with completing aftercare, attending company sponsored events and maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.

The Candidate: If you have the following attributes, we want to hear from you:

· A valid Funeral Pre-Planner Certificate and a minimum of 2 years of Sales and Service experience, preferably in bereavement, is required.

· Proven ability to generate and close leads and grow market share.

· The ability to cultivate and foster strong interpersonal relationships with families and the community is also critical.

· Exceptional customer service, superior communication, attention to detail, accuracy and excellent time management skills.

· Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

· A thorough understanding of the Catholic faith, beliefs, traditions and practices pertaining to funerals, funeral mass and burials is essential.

· Fluency in English required, and the ability to explain concepts and ask questions about a families’ needs are key to this position.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.





· An Ontario Class G Driver’s License and a clear Police Clearance Record is required.
