Tru Earth is looking for a Pre scale Operator to fill a vacant position!

The Pre-scale Operator is responsible for measuring proper quantities of raw materials for use in the production of different products, ensuring accuracy in each recipe. Collaboration with team members and adherence to established protocols are key elements in maintaining workflow efficiency and product integrity.

Work Schedule

- This role will rotate between day and afternoon shifts. The company will be implementing the third shift soon, then this role will be rotating between day, afternoon and night every two weeks.

Main Job Tasks, & Duties

- Adhere to safety protocols, use proper PPE, maintain a clean work area, and report hazards.
- Follow good manufacturing practices, equipment calibration, FIFO/FEFO principles, and changeover procedures.
- Accurately measure, control, and deliver pre-scale ingredients; ensure proper batch mixing and traceability.
- Maintain product quality as per recipes and strictly follow allergen protocols.
- Support preventative maintenance,



troubleshoot minor issues, and contribute to problem-solving.
- Execute kaizen projects for waste reduction and efficiency gains; participate in Root Cause Analysis if KPIs fall short.
- Escalate issues, work with Acumatica for inventory updates, and train designated backups.

Education and Experience
- Proven experience as a Pre-scale operator preferred.
- Previous Mixer experience preferred.
- Essential computer and numerical literacy skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of machine parts and components.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Skilled in using scales to accurately weigh ingredients per recipes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree is a plus.
