Mountainview Brewing Co. is hiring a Prep / Line Cook to join our kitchen crew in Hope, BC.

We’re looking for someone who likes working in a busy kitchen, takes pride in putting out great food, and understands that a good service starts with solid prep.

This role is a mix of prep work and working the line, so you’ll need to be comfortable switching gears depending on what the day brings.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing ingredients and working through daily prep lists
- Cooking and plating menu items during service
- Setting up, stocking and maintaining your station
- Following recipes, portions and presentation standards
- Keeping food properly labelled, dated and stored
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Helping with opening, closing and cleaning duties
- Communicating with the rest of the kitchen and FOH team
- Jumping in and helping wherever needed when things get busy

You’ll be a valuable fit if you:





- Have previous kitchen experience (preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person)
- Are dependable and show up ready to work
- Can stay organized when the kitchen gets busy
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Take direction and communicate well
- Care about consistency and the quality of food leaving the kitchen
- Are available for a mix of daytime, evening and weekend shifts
- Have FoodSafe or are willing to obtain it

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
